Think back… remember when you first went to your first Jaycee meeting, you participated in your first project, chaired a project, wrote a CPG, state excitement seminars and socials. These memories are why I chose this theme of “Celebrate Good Times” for this year. As we look back on our Jaycee lives whether in Florida or another state, we recall the good times, great friends and amazing projects and events that shaped our times.
It is my honor and pleasure to serve as the President of this great organization for the 2023-2024 year. After a period away from the Senate, I came back in 2017 because I missed my friends and the great feeling that I got from being around the Florida Jaycees and Senate. My first encounter was with our Incoming National President Hal Williams who said that he was glad I came back, I was home! Little did I know that 6 years later, I would be sworn in to lead. Along with the Executive Board, we are here to make this year a fun and memorial time for our members.
As we look towards this year, we will celebrate good times with our Senate family. And we are a family! It is time to come together as a family and share the good times. In the whole world, there are less than 82,000 people that can claim to be a JCI Senate. In Florida, that number is less than 1200. In the vast amount of people on this planet we are a small family of like minds that share the good times of being a Jaycee and Senator.
During this Senate year – 2023-2024, join us as we embark on a celebration to last throughout the year. Get involved, share the times with friends that shaped our lives and be a Florida Senator. We are waiting for you, so c’mon!
